NASMOTO/AMA SuperMoto Championship This Weekend

Santa Monica, CA - October 9, 2007 – Racers are checking their oil, fine tuning their set up and blipping their throttle to get ready for the West Coast swing of the 2007 NASMOTO AMA SuperMoto Grand Championship at Pats Acres Raceway, (PARC), on October 14th for the NASMOTO AMA Western Supermoto Championship presented by Pats Acres.

This is the final race of the season and carries with it all the marbles and bragging rights for racers West of the Mississippi. The picturesque 43 acre PARC was built back in the 1930’s and is located outside of Portland in the city of Canby, OR, and will host this exiting NASMOTO /AMA sanctioned SuperMoto event.

We are proud to work with Chris Egger and his team b to promote the NASMOTO GP of Oregon. They have built an outstanding SuperMoto program for the Portland area allowing everyone to participate in this great event.

The weekend schedule includes promoter practice Saturday October 13 from 10am to 1pm for $40 and heat races and timed qualifying for non-qualified NASMOTO racers in the early afternoon. Racers that qualify on Saturday or at previous NASMOTO Grand Prix events are eligible to race for the Championship on Sunday. Pre-registration is through xbux.com and is linked from NASMOTO.com.

The NASMOTO GP of Oregon will consist of championship classes including SM1 Open, SM2 250, Open Amateur, Vet 35, Novice , Premier Mini Moto and the Sportsman Class. A 1st place AMA Championship Number plate will be awarded for each championship class. The SMX Open Invitational class will showcase top pro riders with top performers receiving cash purse awards.

The fun never stops at the PARC and Saturday afternoon racers can enter the wheelie contest or drag race. The rubber will be flying and the engines will be shrieking as the riders compete in this winner-take-all format. After the motobikes are put to bed the evening is capped off with a $10 BBQ.

The SuperMoto industry has stepped up with contingency support for the dual NASMOTO AMA East and West SuperMoto Championships with KTM, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Metzeler and Michelin participating.
